Wolfe & Travis Electric Company has been in business since December 1967 and is locally owned and operated. Our history is based on a long list of successfully completed projects and satisfied customers that span the decades we have been in business.

Our company strives to provide quality installations with career-minded personnel. We have Superintendents and Field Personnel that have been with our organization for over 24 years. The success of our company comes from our reputation as a solid and dependable electrical contractor with a strong desire to give our customers the best service possible.

 We offer a variety of electrical contracting services to accommodate various markets.

Hard Bid, Design-Build, Design-Assist and Budget Assist

Our efforts include Power Distribution Systems for High Voltage 69kV, Medium Voltage 5 – 15kV and Low Voltage 120 – 480V. Emergency Power Distribution Systems including Generator Power Systems, installations and coordination of Mechanical connections for the Exhaust and Fuel Systems. We include Lighting Systems and we offer Value Engineering Packages if requested. Lighting control options are offered from motion sensor switches through fully automated light control and dimmer systems. Fire Alarm, Security and Sound Systems are offered as requested. We have worked on LEED projects and assist the engineer in the proper certifications.

Project Management, Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control, and installation coordination are part of the package with our company. Extensive field experience and apprentice-style training of our staff bring a solid, well-rounded base for our company personnel. We participate in a 4 year ABC Apprenticeship program and work with local high schools.  

These efforts are all included to accommodate markets in Light and Heavy Commercial Projects, Industrial, Data Centers, Hospitals, Historic Renovations, Hotels, and Convention Centers and Water Treatment facilities.

Specialty Projects including Commercial Swimming Pool play areas, Switchgear upgrades, and replacements during active operation environments, Repair of damaged Switchgear Sections with Cutler-Hammer, GE, and Square D, construction of Power House Buildings / Vaults and Power Quality Testing and Metering.

We work hard to do the installation right the first time, per Codes and per Plans.

Hospitals, Commercial Office Buildings, Hotels, and Convention Centers, Restaurants, Water Treatment Plants, Industrial Plants, Historical Renovations, Studios, Emergency Power Systems, Distribution Power Systems, Data Centers, and Medium Voltage Power Distribution Systems.

Our company’s first major project was the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt. Located on West End Avenue in 1967, the hotel is still in full operation today. From this starting point, we moved on to Opryland Theme Park/Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort and many notable projects in the Middle Tennessee Area.

 

Our notable projects include:

The Nashville Convention Center Renaissance Hotel, Opryland Hotel and Convention Center, Opry Mills Mall, Commerce Office Tower, Bicentennial Mall, Tennessee Data Processing Center, Vanderbilt Medical Center Clinical Care Tower Expansion, the renovations to the Historic Tennessee State Capitol Building, and expansions to BNA International Airport. 

It is our goal to be asked to return for future opportunities as we complete the current project and to build a solid working relationship with our customers.
